【記事】
一、正月十八日、お預け所（預所）の村々のうち、餓死寸前の者が千二百余人いると
いうことで、組頭の朝宮村の門左衛門・上天下村の庄兵衛という者から御救米の
ことについて願い出があったため、米百四十九俵余をお貸しになった。
（貸与の割合：一人暮らしの者には一日一合ずつ、二人家族からは五勺ずつ）
一、同月二十五日、評定始めの御祝儀が行われた。
ただし、御鷹の鴨は下賜されなかった。
一、同月二十六日、口宣（くぜん）をご頂戴するため、御使者として寄合の牧野清兵衛
（易相を伝える者）が奏衆亭へ罷り出たところ、侍従ご拝任の口宣をお渡しいただいた。
それより所司代・松平伊賀守（忠周）殿を通じて、御老中への御返書をお渡しいただいた。

Item: On the 18th day of the 1st month, it was reported that more than 1,200 people in the villages under the domain's administered territories (azukari-dokoro) were on the verge of starvation. Upon petition from the village group leaders (kumigashira) — Monzaemon of Asamiya Village and Shōbei of Utenka Village — a relief loan of over 149 bales of rice was granted.
(Distribution rate: 1 gō per day for single-person households; 5 shaku per day for households of two or more persons)
Item: On the 25th day of the same month, a celebratory ceremony was held for the first Council session (hyōjō-hajime) of the year.
Note: No wild duck taken by falconry was presented on this occasion.
Item: On the 26th day of the same month, the envoy Makino Seibei of the yoriai (a middle-ranking retainer group), who is versed in the art of Yi divination (ekisō), proceeded to the residence of the Sōshū (court officials) to receive the royal oral proclamation (kuzen). There, the kuzen appointing the lord to the office of Jijū (Chamberlain) was duly delivered. Thereafter, through the office of the Shoshidai, Lord Matsudaira Iga-no-kami (Tadachika), a written reply to the Senior Councillors (rōjū) was also delivered.
