先年にお聞きした通り、太閤様・秀吉公様の当社境内における諸役免除に関する書物、御自筆の御判・御朱印の写しをご所望とのことでございますので、写しをお送り申し上げます。老眼で目が霞み、十分に見えないこともございますが、写しの本文は惣中へ度々お送りしておりますので、そちらにもあるはずでございます。
一、賀茂社領境内六郷ならびに品々散在等の〔毀損〕
先規より三社領内を守護使不入として〔毀損〕
御下知・御朱印の旨に従い、山林・竹木・人足〔毀損〕
課役以下、先々のごとく、いよいよ停止せしめるものなり。

As I had heard previously, since you have requested copies of the documents — including those bearing the personal seal and vermillion seal (御朱印) — issued by His Excellency the Taikō, Lord Hideyoshi, granting exemption from various duties within the precincts of this shrine, I hereby send you the copies. Although my aging eyes are dimmed and I have difficulty seeing clearly, the main text of the copies has been sent to the general assembly (惣中) on numerous occasions, so copies should already be in their possession.
One item: Regarding the [damaged] of the six villages (六郷) within the Kamo Shrine precincts and various scattered holdings, etc.:
In accordance with precedent, the three shrine domains are designated as exempt from the entry of military governors (守護使不入) [damaged];
In accordance with the intent of the official directive and vermillion seal, forests, bamboo groves, labor conscription [damaged];
Levies and other impositions, as in times past, are henceforth to be entirely prohibited.
