賀茂社惣中 如此御文言御自筆之御判
我々一分ニ調社中へ進候
礼物一切 毀損
此時ニ又調進候
一 賀茂社領能州羽咋郡之内四ヶ村ニ在 毀損
賀州金津庄拾ケ村之事如先々可被 毀損
国中何れも無相違申付候条如此候恐々謹言

如此あい殿宗二同道我等参直ニ秀申入候へは毎年
馬二疋ツヽ御上セ可有之由候間我々申候は左候ハヽ廿石宛

務ニ仕候間以御分別御祈祷ニ一カト御上セ候様ニと我々申
候得は何れも御心得可被成之由御申候キあい殿薩摩屋宗二も
取合共有之也

一 国々当社領之事年来任当知行之旨弥不可有相

現代語訳
賀茂社惣中へ、このような御文言・御自筆の御判を、私どもが一存で取り調べて社中へお送りいたしました。
〔礼物一切 毀損〕
この時にまた取り調べてお送りいたしました。
一、賀茂社領、能州（能登国）羽咋郡の内四ヶ村に在る〔毀損〕、
加州（加賀国）金津庄十ヶ村のことは、先々のごとくあるべく〔毀損〕、
国中いずれも相違なく申し付け候条、かくのごとくにございます。恐々謹言。

このように、あい殿・宗二と同道して私どもが直接（秀吉公に）申し入れ候えば、毎年
馬二疋ずつお上げになるべき由にて候間、私どもが申しますには、「さようであれば二十石ずつ
お上げになるべき」旨を御申し候。加州の百姓共は皆々存じており、毎年罷り下り直
務に仕り候間、御分別をもって、御祈祷に一ヶ年（分として）お上げになるようにと私どもが申し
候えば、いずれも御心得なさるべき由を御申し候きり。あい殿・薩摩屋宗二も
取り合いのこと（交渉の経緯）が有之（あり）。
この時、国々まで申し入れ候。
一、国々の当社領のことは、年来の当知行の旨に任せ、いよいよ相違あるべからずの状、件のごとし。

To the General Assembly (惣中) of the Kamo Shrine: Documents bearing such wording and personal seals were compiled on our own initiative and sent to the shrine community.
[礼物 (gifts/fees): damaged]
At this time, they were compiled again and forwarded.
One item: Regarding the four villages in Hakui District, Noto Province (能州), which are part of the Kamo Shrine domain [damaged], and the ten villages of Kanatsu-no-shō in Kaga Province (加州): these shall remain as they have been in times past [damaged]; we have issued orders throughout the province that there shall be no irregularities in this matter. Respectfully submitted.

To Lord Maeda Matasaemon
At his lodgings
In this manner, traveling together with Lord Ai and Sōji, we went directly to present our petition [to Hideyoshi]. We were told that two horses per year should be presented [as tribute]. We then suggested that instead, twenty koku per year should be offered. The peasants of Kaga Province all know [of this arrangement], and since they come down every year to perform direct cultivation (直務), we proposed that, with proper consideration, [the payment] be made once a year as a contribution toward prayers and rituals. They replied that they would take this under advisement. Lord Ai and Satsumaya Sōji also had involvement in these negotiations.
At this time, [petitions] were submitted to various provinces.
One item: Regarding this shrine's domains in various provinces — in accordance with the longstanding practice of current landholding (当知行), there shall henceforth be absolutely no irregularities. This document is as stated above.
