縁組仕儀候者其節兵部大輔願可申達哉之段
徳山又兵衛大岡治右衛門を以土屋相模守殿江得御

本紙で願い申し上げました後越前守の娘の件ですが、先年亡父兵部大輔が願い申し上げて飛鳥井中納言方へ養子に出し、花山院大納言殿への縁組をいたしましたところ、婚礼前に大納言殿が病気になられたため、飛鳥井中納言方より縁組を断られました。それ以後、この娘の縁組をする場合は、その都度兵部大輔が願い出るべきかという点について、徳山又兵衛・大岡治右衛門を通して土屋相模守殿にご内意を伺いましたところ、一度飛鳥井中納言方へ養子の願いが済んでいる以上、重ねて願い出る必要はなく、縁組が決まった場合はその時にお届けすればよいとの旨をお聞かせくださいました。その後、転法輪中将殿より右の娘への縁組の望みがある旨を飛鳥井中納言方へ申し入れ、相談が済みましたので、飛鳥井中納言方より両伝奏・月番の高野前中納言殿まで提出した願いの趣旨は、兵部大輔

Oral Statement
Regarding the daughter of the late Echizen-no-kami mentioned in the main document: In previous years, her late father Hyōbu-dayū petitioned to send her as an adopted daughter to the Asuka-i Chūnagon household for a marriage arrangement with Lord Kazanin Dainagon. However, before the wedding ceremony, Lord Dainagon fell ill, so the Asuka-i Chūnagon household declined the marriage arrangement. Thereafter, regarding whether Hyōbu-dayū should petition each time this daughter's marriage was arranged, we consulted Lord Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami through Tokuyama Matahē and Ōoka Jiuemon. We were informed that since the adoption petition to the Asuka-i Chūnagon household had already been completed once, there was no need to petition again, and we should simply report when a marriage arrangement was decided.
