商人等みたりに金銀の品を高下し過分の
利倍を求め候ゟ事起るの由に候今度金銀の
品皆々慶長の古法のことくになし返され候と
いへとも元禄以来の金銀ことことく皆相改り
迄は其年数久しかるへきによりて其間金銀
通用割増等の法を定められ候凡金銀銭等の
両替を以て家業とし候上は其時に応して
相当の相場ハあるへき事勿論に候若これより
後に至りて両替の上につきて世の金銀通
用の事相さまたけ候事仕り出し候者有之
におゐてハ其者をハ急度厳科に行はれ其
由を以て訴出候におゐてハ彼罪犯の者の家
財を以てよろしく褒美の御沙汰あるへく候者也

現代語訳
商人たちが勝手に金銀の品質に高低をつけて、過分な利益を求めることから問題が起こっているとのことです。今度金銀の品質をすべて慶長の古い制度のようにし直すとはいえ、元禄以来の金銀をことごとく皆改めるまでは、その年数は長くかかるでしょうから、その間は金銀通用の割増などの制度を定められました。およそ金銀銭などの両替を家業としている以上は、その時に応じて相当の相場があるのは当然のことです。もしこれ以降において、両替の件について世の中の金銀通用の事を妨害することを仕出かす者がいる場合には、その者を必ず厳罰に処し、その旨を訴え出た場合には、その罪を犯した者の家財をもって適切に褒美を下されるでしょう。

一、五月二十一日 豊姫様の件で烏丸左少弁光栄殿への縁組の願書を左の通り、六郷主馬殿を通して御用番井上河内守正岑殿へ提出されました。

Merchants have been arbitrarily setting high and low prices for gold and silver quality and seeking excessive profits, which is the cause of these problems. Although the quality of gold and silver will now be restored to the ancient Keichō system, it will take many years to completely reform all the gold and silver from the Genroku era onward, so during this interim period, laws regarding premiums for gold and silver circulation have been established. Generally speaking, for those who make their living through exchanging gold, silver, and coins, it is natural that there should be appropriate exchange rates according to the times. If anyone hereafter interferes with the circulation of gold and silver in society through exchange activities, such persons shall be severely punished, and those who report such violations shall receive appropriate rewards from the confiscated property of the offenders.
