られたる為め、漸（やうや）く蘇生（そせい）したりと。
◎不意に家倒る 小高坂村（こたかさかむら）桜馬場（さくらばゞ）十二番屋敷植木氏控への家屋
は彼の風にも堪（た）へ居りしに翌日午前十一時｜頃（ころ）に至り、不意に潰
ぶれたる趣（おもむ）き大風後には間々此の如き事あり、注意（ちうい）すへき事に
こそ。
◎巡査電流に打たる 上島和田の両巡査は暴風（ぼうふう）夜本町五丁目の
派出所に詰居たるに北側（きたかは）なる新道の上にて人の叫（さけ）び声の聞ゆる
にぞ、唯事（たゞごと）ならすと打ち見れば、同所の菓子商中島某方へ引（ひ）き
たる電灯線（でんたうせん）風（かぜ）の為めに切れて、其（その）切口（きれくち）より薄の如き火花を発し
今にも其の家に燃え移（うつ）らんとなし居るにぞ大ひに驚（おどろ）き中島氏は
逸早（いちはや）く其場に駆付け誤つて落（お）ちたる電線を踏（ふ）み忽ち電流に打（う）た
れて其場に卒倒（そつたう）し、和田氏も同様（どうやう）触線（しょくせん）して人事不省となりたる

◎営所の被害 第四十四連隊営所は、新築（しんちく）の六号営舎を全倒し

在知らず、各舎窓（かくしやさう）の硝子（がらす）は尽く破られ、酒保は全く破壊（はくわい）し、一
号より五号に至るまでの兵舎の天井（てんじやう）陥落（かんらく）せしなと被害頗る多
かりき。
●県下各郡被害の状況
今回（こんくわい）の被害（ひがい）は土佐郡及び高知市に於て最も多く、長岡郡（ながをかごほり）に於て
稍多く、香美郡（かみごほり）に於ては即ち多少被害の度（ど）を減（げん）じ、高知市を中
心として、東方（とうほう）に移るに従って、漸々（ぜん〴〵）進下（しんか）せるの感あり、今其
状況の一斑（いつぱん）を左に記さむ。

◎家屋が水上に浮ぶ 使者橋の南詰西のたもとで、水中に柱を立てて土台を築き建築した一階建ての建物は、以前は猿猴楼という料理屋を営んでいたが、今は淡路亭と呼ばれる寿司屋になっている。しかし水中の柱を船虫や水虫などが食い荒らしただけでなく、すでに長年月が経ったため腐朽していたものと見え、座敷がそのまま陥没して水中に浮かんでいる様子は、大阪の牡蠣飯船を彷彿とさせるものであった。
◎水通の負傷者 水通五丁目145番地に住む研師金次郎と妻時の両人は、同日午後8時過ぎに自宅が倒壊したが、逃げる暇もなく家屋に押しつぶされて必死に救助を求めたものの、知る者がいなかった。しかし9時30分頃になってようやく隣人に発見され、様々な介抱を受けたため、ようやく蘇生したという。
◎不意に家が倒れる 小高坂村桜馬場12番屋敷の植木氏控えの家屋は、あの風にも耐えていたのに、翌日午前11時頃になって不意に倒壊した様子である。大風の後にはしばしばこのようなことがあり、注意すべきことである。

◎Police officers struck by electric current Police officers Ueshima and Wada were on duty at the police box in Honcho 5-chome during the stormy night when they heard screaming from the new road on the north side. Realizing something was wrong, they looked and saw that the electric lighting wire leading to confectioner Nakajima's shop had been severed by the wind, sending out thin sparks from the cut end that threatened to ignite the house.
