元文三年（1738年）戊午の年
一 正月元日、御屋形（お屋敷）において御規式（公式の儀式）が執り行われた。
一 同日、年始のお祝いとして登城し、例年通り御太刀・馬代（馬の代わりとなる金銭）を献上し、呉服を御拝領した。
また、竹千代様へ初めて御太刀・馬代を献上した。
一 同月三日、御謡初めのお祝いとして、使者を通じて例年通り御盃台・御酒代を献上した。
英語訳
The Year of Genbun 3 (1738), the Year of the Horse (Tsuchinoe-uma)
- On the first day of the first month (New Year's Day), an official ceremony was held at the御屋形 (the lord's residence/mansion).
- On the same day, as a New Year's congratulatory visit, [the lord] went to the castle as customary, presented a ceremonial sword (tachi) and a monetary gift in lieu of a horse (umashiro), and received a gift of fabric (gofuku) in return.
Additionally, for the first time, a ceremonial sword and monetary gift in lieu of a horse were presented to Lord Takechiyo.
- On the third day of the same month, as a congratulatory gesture for the first utai (Noh chanting) of the New Year, a messenger was sent to present, as customary, a ceremonial sake stand (sakazukidai) and a monetary gift for sake (sakeshiro).
