現代語訳
【図】竹で作られており、口に咥えて糸を引きながら息を発すると、糸と竹が合わさって幽かな音を出す。

この三つの楽器はソウヤからカラフト島の方にかけて存在し、東の方では見られない。
以上に図示した物は皆、蝦夷の作である。この他に、杓子（カシユク）、箸（チェクベ、シヤツカ）、縄（ハリカ）、綱索（ツシ）、蒲莚（シユウキナ）、菅菰（ヤリシヨウ）の類を各々自ら作る。

[Illustration] Made of bamboo, when one holds it in the mouth and pulls the string while breathing out, the string and bamboo combine to produce a faint sound.

These three musical instruments exist from Souya to Karafuto Island, but are not seen in the eastern regions.
All the items illustrated above are made by the Ainu. In addition to these, they make for themselves various items such as ladles (kashiyuku), chopsticks (chekube, shyatsuka), rope (harika), cord (tsushi), rush mats (shyuukina), and sedge mats (yarishyou).
