五左衛門様がご帰国なさいましたので、一筆申し上げます。まだ寒さの残る折ではございますが、ますますお元気にお過ごしのことと、誠にありがたく存じております。こちら私どもも変わりなく過ごしておりますので、何卒ご安心くださいますようお願い申し上げます。
一、新年のお祝いのご挨拶を別紙にてお伝え申し上げます。誠に昨年中は何かとご厚情を賜り、幸せに存じております。引き続き変わらぬご支援をいただけますよう、何卒お願い申し上げます。

As Gozaemon-sama has returned home, I take this opportunity to write to you. Although the lingering cold of winter remains, I trust that you are in ever-increasing good health, for which I am most grateful. I am pleased to inform you that we here are all well, and I humbly ask that you set your mind at ease regarding us.
First, I offer my New Year's greetings, which I have set out in a separate enclosed letter. I am truly grateful for the many kindnesses you have shown us throughout the past year. I humbly ask that you continue to favor us with your unchanged support and assistance going forward.
