現代語訳
〽（女が十郎に）取りついて「あんまりむごい、情けないや。今宵（こよい）離れて、あなたがご無事でいらっしゃるその身なら、また逢うことも あろうかと、楽しみにすることもあるべきが……」
〽「かねて二人が取り交わす誓いや誓紙は、みんな仇（あだ）となってしまった」〽「では死になんすか（死になさるのですか）。覚悟なら、三途の川もこのように、二人手を取り、もろともに……」〽「なぜにそう言っては下さんせぬ（おっしゃってくださらないのですか）。殺しておいて行かんせと（殺して行ってください）」と、男のひざにすがりつき、身を震わせて泣き伏していたところへ、〽やり手のかやが声として「子供や、みどりや、誰も……」
英語訳
