（申年）三月まで相勤めた。
但し、これに際して金一両を下し置かれた。
一、同年三月、
土常様（松平容頌公）が初めて江戸へご上府なさったところ、三の丸の御徒目付・大熊茂兵衛の娘が大病にかかったため、御供を免除されることになった。そのため、ご出発の前日に仮目付を仰せ付けられ、御供として江戸へ上った。
但し、仮目付を仰せ付けられたところ、速やかに承諾してすぐに上り、ご道中を滞りなく勤めたとのことにより、お褒めの言葉があり、ご褒美として金二分を下し置かれた。また、水戸海道の見分御用を仰せ付けられ、帰国した。

When Lord Tsuchijo-sama (Lord Matsudaira Katanobu) traveled to Edo for the first time, the daughter of Ōkuma Mohei—an *o-kachi metsuke* (foot-soldier inspector) at the third enclosure of the castle—fell gravely ill, resulting in his being excused from serving in the escort. Consequently, on the day before the lord's departure, he was appointed acting *metsuke* (inspector) and traveled to Edo as part of the escort.
Note: Having been appointed acting *metsuke*, he promptly accepted and departed, and was commended for carrying out the journey without any hindrance. As a reward, he was granted two *bu* of gold. He was also assigned to inspect the Mito Highway and thereafter returned to the domain.
