屋長三郎罷登御勘定頭申談候

（前頁より続く）候につき、御褒美として銀子二枚を下し置かれた件。
一 同年五月、御下向につき御供として会津へ罷り下った件。
一 同年閏七月、以下のとおり土屋長三郎へ申し聞かせるので、よく申し談ずるよう、御用所当番を通じて仰せ聞かせられた。
「こちら（江戸）の儀は、皆ともに半年交代であり、御内証方（財務・経理部門）の詳細が十分に把握しにくい事情であるので、今般の儀は、平日の取り計らいも含め、御用所・御用部屋の者が（事情を）弁えておかなければならないことである。よって、御借金方および御常用ともに、諸帳記を綿密に調査するよう、この度、土屋長三郎が（江戸へ）罷り登り、御勘定頭へ申し談ずる儀であるので、御用所においては御内証方懸りの中山理右衛門が、御用部屋においては内村三蔵が、右（土屋長三郎）と談合する際はもちろん、平日においても御勘定所へ罷り出て、米・金銭の入払い並びに諸金先への掛け合い等の儀についても、承知するところがあれば、（一人で）差し加えることなく御勘定頭へ申し談ずること。なお、日々（以下次頁へ続く）」

Upon [the lord's] departure from Edo to the domain (御下向), he accompanied the party and returned to Aizu.
One entry: In the intercalary seventh month of the same year:
He was informed through the duty officer of the御用所 (administrative office) that he should consult well with Tsuchiya Chōzaburō, as the following message had been conveyed:
"Here in Edo, everyone rotates on a half-year basis, making it difficult to fully grasp the details of the 御内証方 (financial/accounting division). Therefore, regarding matters both routine and current, it is essential that the personnel of the 御用所 and 御用部屋 (attendants' offices) be well-informed. Accordingly, Tsuchiya Chōzaburō is now traveling up to Edo [from Aizu] to consult with the 御勘定頭 (chief accounting officer) regarding the thorough and careful examination of all account books relating to both the domain's debt management (御借金方) and its regular expenditures (御常用). In this regard, Nakayama Riemon, who is in charge of financial affairs at the 御用所, and Uchimura Sanzō, stationed at the 御用部屋, should, both when consulting with Tsuchiya Chōzaburō and in their daily duties, present themselves at the 御勘定所 (accounting office) and, regarding matters such as the receipts and disbursements of rice and money as well as dealings with various creditors, if they have any knowledge or views on the matter, they should report them to the 御勘定頭 without acting unilaterally.
