ただし山里の方へは今日御城代から帰りがけに直接勤務の暇乞いを申し入れたので、その必要はないが、断りを入れて回らない場合は暇乞いの使者を遣わすこと
一、御城入り後、向加番衆が暇乞いのために参上した場合は、こちらからも暇乞いのために出向く。もっとも今日交代する場合は、明日御城を出る衆へは別段に暇乞いに出向かず、交代に付き御城内の衆を回る際に暇乞いも申し込むこと
一、相番中で交代が済んだ祝いは、交代がまだ済まない者より外張まで銘々から使者を遣わして申すべきこと
ただし御城入りが済んだ場合は直接勤務のこと

一、御城代小屋廻りの様子については、前もって知らせてくれるよう月番から三町人へ急いで申し置き、御城代用人から手紙で明日何時頃回られるかを知らせてくる
一、右の件を相番中へ知らせるため回状をもって伝達する
一、御城代が帰られた後、礼のため戻子肩衣を着用し、四人同道で出向くべきである

However, regarding Yamazato, since a direct farewell request was made to the castle magistrate on the way back today, this is not necessary, but if one does not make the rounds with a proper excuse, a farewell messenger should be sent.
1. After entering the castle, if the opposing guard unit comes to bid farewell, we should also go to bid farewell from our side. However, if the shift change occurs today, we will not make separate farewell visits to those leaving the castle tomorrow, but will include farewells when making rounds to those inside the castle in connection with the shift change.
1. Congratulations for completed shift changes among the rotating guards should be sent via messengers from each individual to the outer posts, except from those whose shift changes are not yet complete.

1. Regarding the castle magistrate's rounds of the guard houses, the monthly duty officer should quickly inform the three townsmen in advance to notify us, and the castle magistrate's aide will send a letter informing us of approximately what time he will make his rounds tomorrow.
1. The above matter should be communicated to the rotating guards through circular notices.
1. After the castle magistrate returns, as a courtesy, we should wear formal court dress (modoshi kamishimo) and visit together as a group of four.
