一右畢而保科弾正忠殿奉書并御合力
米御證文を持図面之席え進ミ被出
奉書并御證文扇子ヲ開キ其上ニ置奉
書を取筑後守殿え被相渡筑後守殿
受取拝見之上町奉行衆え被相廻其時
拙者共御合力米御證文御渡申候段被申述

会釈有之候而土井能登守殿進ニ被出弾正忠殿

現代語訳
【○印】用人が出てきて、番頭衆や御目付衆に書院へ通るよう申し、次に我々にも書院へ通るよう申し聞かせた。そこで登り下り加番が書院へ通り、刀は三町人に預けた。【例年城代が出席する際は、書院の唐紙の際で銘々挨拶を交わすが、今年は城代の出席がないため挨拶は行わなかった】
【○印】井上筑後守殿の着座の向かいに自分が着座し、その後堀河内守殿、保科弾正忠殿、建部内匠頭殿、並びに下り加番まで残らず座に着いた。その上で自分が少し座を進み、江戸において上々様（将軍様）がますますご機嫌よくいらっしゃることを恐悦に存じ上げる旨を申し述べた。その時筑後守殿から相応の挨拶があった。
一、右の後で保科弾正忠殿が奉書並びに御合力米の御証文を持って図面の席へ進み出た。奉書並びに御証文を扇子を開いてその上に置き、奉書を取って筑後守殿へ渡した。筑後守殿が受け取って拝見の上、町奉行衆へ回した。その時、我々への御合力米御証文をお渡し申す段を申し述べて、筑後守殿へ渡した。
【○印】右の後で弾正忠殿が向加番の方を向いてちょっと会釈があり、土井能登守殿が進み出て、弾正忠殿から奉書を渡されて、能登守殿が受け取って帰座した。

[○ mark] I took my seat facing where Lord Inoue Chikugo-no-kami was seated, followed by Lord Hori Kawachi-no-kami, Lord Hoshina Danjō-chū, Lord Tatebe Takumi-no-kami, and all the descending additional guards taking their seats. Then I moved my seat forward slightly and stated that I was delighted that His Excellency (the Shogun) in Edo was in increasingly good spirits. At that time, Lord Chikugo-no-kami offered appropriate greetings.
First, after this, Lord Hoshina Danjō-chū brought the official letter and the certificate for the supplementary rice allowance and proceeded to the designated seat. He placed the official letter and certificate on an opened fan, took the official letter, and handed it to Lord Chikugo-no-kami. Lord Chikugo-no-kami received it, examined it, and passed it to the town magistrates. At that time, he stated that the certificate for our supplementary rice allowance was being handed over and gave it to Lord Chikugo-no-kami.
[○ mark] After this, Lord Danjō-chū turned toward the direction of the opposing additional guards and gave a brief bow. Lord Doi Noto-no-kami stepped forward, received the official letter from Lord Danjō-chū, and returned to his seat.
[○ mark] After this, Lord Chikugo-no-kami announced to the other assembled lords that Lord Danjō-chū would convey a message from the council of elders to everyone, and then returned to his seat.
[○ mark] After this, I addressed Lord Chikugo-no-kami: "During this season of lingering summer heat, you continue your duties in excellent health, which I find most admirable. We have been appointed to additional guard duty this time, and we gratefully received gifts at the time of our audience. Please take note of this matter."
