但和泉守は別間也
【〇】何も被相揃候上和泉守書院え被罷通候
夫ゟ御定番衆町奉行衆御目付衆被罷
通番頭衆自分共一緒用人案内ニ而罷
通例席え不着左之図之通着座和泉守
方え向江戸表奉伺御機嫌
上使御機嫌宜趣被申達候而直御城代
之方え向恐悦申述夫ゟ老衆分之伝言
有之候御城代之方え向相番と代り合
可申段申述候而直退座罷帰候上後出之
相番両人同道之番頭衆宅え罷越
待合居申候而直代り合致
御城出候御城代下屋敷え罷越溜之間へ
罷通り用人罷出案内之書院え
罷通如前伺御機嫌直ニ退散致

ただし和泉守は別の間にいる。
【〇】皆が揃った後、和泉守は書院に通された。
その後、御定番衆、町奉行衆、御目付衆が通り、
番頭衆と自分たちは一緒に用人の案内で通った。
例席には着かず、左の図の通りに着座し、和泉守の
方を向いて「江戸表より御機嫌を伺うため参上いたしました」と申し上げ、
上使は「御機嫌よろしく」という趣旨を申し伝えられ、すぐに御城代の
方を向いて恐悦の意を述べた。その後、老衆からの伝言が
あり、御城代の方を向いて「相番と交代いたします」
という段を申し述べて、すぐに退座し帰った。その後、
相番の両人が同道で番頭衆の宅に赴き、
待ち合わせていてすぐに交代を行い、
御城を出て御城代下屋敷に赴き、溜の間に
通り、用人が出てきて案内され、書院に
通って前と同じように御機嫌を伺い、すぐに退散して
御城に入った。

堀河内守殿が八月十六日に御城代として着坂したため、下屋敷
に御機嫌伺いに参上した節、並びに二月二十八日の
御殿拝見の節の手控えを見せられたので写し置く。

However, Izumi-no-kami was in a separate room.
【〇】After everyone had assembled, Izumi-no-kami was conducted to the reception hall (shoin).
Thereafter, the regular duty officers (jōteiban), town magistrates (machi-bugyō), and inspectors (metsuke) passed through,
and the guard captains (bantō) and we went through together, guided by the steward.
Without taking the usual seats, we sat according to the diagram on the left, facing
Izumi-no-kami and stating "We have come from Edo to inquire after your well-being."
The envoy conveyed the message that "all is well," then immediately
faced the castle deputy and expressed gratitude. After that, there was a message
from the senior officials, and facing the castle deputy, we stated
"We shall exchange with the alternate shift" and immediately withdrew and returned. Afterwards,
both members of the alternate shift went together to the guard captain's residence,
waited there and immediately performed the exchange,
left the castle and went to the castle deputy's lower residence, proceeded to the waiting room,
the steward came out to guide us, we were conducted to the reception hall,
inquired after his well-being as before, immediately withdrew
and entered the castle.

When Lord Horikawa Nai-no-kami arrived in Osaka as castle deputy on the 16th day of the 8th month, regarding the occasion when we went to his lower residence to inquire after his well-being, and also the notes from the palace inspection on the 28th day of the 2nd month were shown to us, so we copied them.
