右御書付幷大目付廻状拙者方ゟ廻状添
差出候委儀者溜池ニ有之候〖下げ札】 〖評定所門明キ候得ハ相番待合不及座敷江通 候事】
一六月十一日丑刻供揃無間も出宅評定所江
罷越門前ニ而相番衆待合同道ニ而罷通
玄関ニ而名リ申候而も不申候而も不苦候
刀を手ニ提上之間障子を後尓して着座
誓詞乃座席見置度旨儒者江申遣候処
源尾桂太夫罷出案内尓而罷越誓詞之席
見置夫より銘々手水所江罷越相済此節
手前留守居之者誓詞持出書入相済候
之由ニ而相渡候請取元之席二着座誓詞
傍二差置扣罷在候無程鳥居丹波守殿
被参着座之前を被通候節会釈有之候
ニ付致時宜夫より儒者衆案内有之
誓詞之席江罷出候節儒者衝立際ニ被居

右の通り、明十一日の朝、評定所へ出頭して誓詞を改める（点検する）よう達するべきである。
六月十日
右の書付並びに大目付の廻状は、私の方から廻状を添えて差し出した。詳細については溜池にある。【下げ札】【評定所の門が開いたら、相番（交代の番）を待ち合わせる必要はなく座敷へ通ること】
一、六月十一日丑の刻、供揃えを整えて間もなく出宅し、評定所へ向かった。門前で相番の人々と待ち合わせ、同道で通った。玄関で名乗りをしても、しなくても構わない。刀を手に提げて上の間に入り、障子を後ろにして着座した。誓詞の座席を見ておきたい旨を儒者に申し遣わしたところ、源尾桂太夫が出てきて案内により向かい、誓詞の席を見ておいた。それから各々手水所へ向かい用を済ませた。この時、手前の留守居の者が誓詞を持ち出し、書入れを済ませたということで相渡された。それを受け取り、元の席に着座し、誓詞を傍らに差し置いて控えていた。程なく鳥居丹波守殿が参着され、座の前を通られる際に会釈があったので時宜を致した。それから儒者衆の案内があり、誓詞の席へ出向いた際、儒者が衝立の際に居られた。

June 10th
The above document and the Grand Inspector's circular letter were sent from my office with an accompanying circular. Details are available at Tameike. First, on June 11th at the Hour of the Ox, I prepared my retinue and departed shortly thereafter for the Council of State. At the gate, I met with the alternating guard members and proceeded together. At the entrance hall, it was acceptable whether one announced oneself or not. Carrying swords in hand, we entered the upper chamber and took our seats with the sliding doors behind us. I sent word to a Confucian scholar that I wished to observe the seating arrangement for the oath ceremony. Minoo Keitayū came out and guided us to see the oath ceremony seating. Then each person went to the hand-washing area to complete their ablutions. At this time, my deputy brought out the oath document, completed the written entries, and handed it over. I received it, returned to my original seat, placed the oath document beside me, and waited respectfully. Soon Lord Torii Tamba-no-kami arrived, and when he passed in front of our seats, there was an exchange of bows, so I performed the proper courtesy. Then the Confucian scholars provided guidance, and when we proceeded to the oath ceremony seating, a Confucian scholar was positioned near the standing screen.
