羽織袴之事
一寄合之節地役人衆取持に相招可申事
一道中万一滞有之節は□□泊之衆江早々
為知申通同宿差合不申候様心得可申候
江戸表大坂表へも逗留いたし候段可及注
進事
但一日計之滞に而大坂表到着は遅滞ニ
不相成候はゝ江戸大坂へは不及注進事
一右滞有之節御老中五人連名以飛札相
届此外は勤に不及候事
一年始五節句 御本丸へ出仕之節着服之事
年始 熨斗目半袴
上已 染小袖半袴
端午 浅葱帷子半袴
七夕 白帷子半袴
八朔 同断
重陽 花色小袖半袴
一歳暮之祝儀御城代え罷越候節染小

一五節句には相番中申合御城代え罷越夫ゟ

祝儀使者遣候事
但雨天に而 御本丸相止候得は申合最
寄え集り御城代え為祝儀相越候に付

一小屋に而鉄砲致稽古候ハヽ御城代御定
現代語訳
羽織袴のこと
一、寄合の節は地役人衆を取り持ちに招くこと
一、道中万一滞在することがあった場合は、同宿の人々に早々に知らせ申し上げ、同宿に差し支えがないよう心得ること。江戸表・大坂表へも逗留いたした旨を注進すること
但し一日程度の滞在で大坂表到着が遅滞にならない場合は、江戸・大坂へは注進の必要なし
一、右の滞在があった節は御老中五人連名で飛札により届け出ること。この他は勤務に及ばないこと
一、年始五節句で御本丸へ出仕の節の着服のこと

一、歳暮の祝儀で御城代へ参上する節は染小袖半袴
一、五節句には相番中で申し合わせて御城代へ参上し、それから同道で御本丸へ参上、帰宅の後御城代へ祝儀の使者を遣わすこと
但し雨天で御本丸が中止になった場合は申し合わせて最寄りに集まり御城代へ祝儀に参上するため、使者は遣わさないこと

1. During meetings, local officials shall be invited to serve as intermediaries
1. If there should be any delay during travel, promptly notify those staying at the same lodging and be mindful not to cause inconvenience to fellow lodgers. Also report the stay to both Edo and Osaka offices
However, if it is only about a one-day delay that does not cause late arrival at Osaka, no report to Edo or Osaka is necessary
1. When such delays occur, report by express letter jointly signed by the five senior councilors. Other duties need not be performed
1. Regarding attire when serving at the main castle during New Year and the five seasonal festivals:
New Year: noshime half-hakama
Jōshi (3rd day of 3rd month): dyed kosode half-hakama
Tango (5th day of 5th month): light blue katabira half-hakama
Tanabata (7th day of 7th month): white katabira half-hakama
Hassaku (1st day of 8th month): same as above
Chōyō (9th day of 9th month): flower-colored kosode half-hakama
1. When visiting the castle commander for year-end congratulations: dyed kosode half-hakama
1. For the five seasonal festivals, coordinate with fellow guards to visit the castle commander, then proceed together to the main castle. After returning home, send a congratulatory messenger to the castle commander
However, if the main castle ceremony is cancelled due to rain, gather at the nearest location by arrangement to visit the castle commander for congratulations, so no messenger need be sent

1. For the five seasonal festivals, since the regular guards have no duties, send congratulatory messengers to them
