御城入御番代之儀申合候様被申越
候付返報相応申遣最寄相番
旅館江揃刻限等之義一加番ゟ

一今六時染帷子麻上下着用最寄之
相番堀内藏頭旅館江相揃
内膳正殿内蔵頭殿日向守殿自分
同道二而追手石壇下二而下乗

寛政元年己酉八月朔日
一、城代から紙片により、明日（二日）に仮に城入りを行い、番代（警備の交代）の件について打ち合わせをするよう申し越されたため、適当な返事を申し送り、最寄りの相番の旅館に集合する時刻等について、加番から触れ出しがあった。
八月二日
一、今朝六時に染帷子に麻の上下を着用し、最寄りの相番である堀内蔵頭の旅館に集合した。内膳正殿・内蔵頭殿・日向守殿と自分が同道で追手石段下で下乗し、そこから順次城入りした。城門で相番衆と待ち合わせし、同道で城代宅へ赴き、玄関で取次に銘々名前を申し聞かせて通り、用人が呼び出されて安否を尋ねる適当な口上を申し述べた。今日城入りを仕るよう昨日紙面をもって仰せ聞かされたゆえ、城入りを仕る旨を内膳正殿が申し置かれて通った。

Kansei 1st year, year of the Earth Rooster, first day of the eighth month
- The castle magistrate sent a note stating that tomorrow (the second day) we should temporarily enter the castle and discuss matters regarding the guard duty rotation. In response, an appropriate reply was sent, and there was a notification from the additional guard unit regarding the assembly time at the nearest partner guard's lodging.
Second day of the eighth month
- At six o'clock this morning, wearing dyed summer kimono with hemp formal wear, we assembled at the lodging of Hori Kuranokami, who is the nearest partner guard. Lord Naizenno-sho, Lord Kuranokami, Lord Hyugano-kami and myself traveled together, dismounted at the bottom of the Ote stone steps, and then entered the castle in order. We met with the partner guards at the castle gate, proceeded together to the castle magistrate's residence, announced our names individually to the attendant at the entrance and passed through. The steward was called out and we made appropriate inquiries about his well-being. Since we were instructed yesterday by written notice to enter the castle today, Lord Naizenno-sho announced that we would enter the castle and we proceeded.
