### 赤松子
赤松子は、神農の時代の雨師（雨を司る神）である。水玉（水晶）を服用し、それを神農に教えた。火の中に入って自ら焼かれることができた。たびたび崑崙山の上に至り、常に西王母の石室の中に留まった。風雨に従って上下した。炎帝の少女（末の娘）が彼を慕って追い、やがて仙となりともに去った。高辛（帝嚳）の時代に至って、再び雨師となった。今の雨師はもともとこれ（赤松子）に由来する。
> 眇眇たる赤松よ、飄飄たる少女よ、
> 手を取り合って翻り飛び、冷然として二人して舞い上がる。
> 身を長風に任せ、たちまち玄圃に翼を休める。
> 巽・坎（風と水）の道を妙に極め、雨を司る範となる。

### Chi Songzi (Red Pine Master)
Chi Songzi was the Rain Master of the time of Shennong (the Divine Farmer). He ingested water jade (crystal) and taught this practice to Shennong. He was able to enter fire and burn himself within it. He frequently ascended to the top of Mount Kunlun, where he regularly dwelt in the stone chamber of the Queen Mother of the West. He rose and descended following the wind and rain. The youngest daughter of the Flame Emperor (Yandi) pursued him in admiration, and she too attained immortality and departed with him. When the time of Gaoxin (Emperor Ku) came, he became the Rain Master once more. The Rain Masters of today ultimately trace their origin to him.
> Lofty and distant is Chi Songzi, drifting and free is the young maiden;
> Hand in hand they soar and flutter, rising together in serene transcendence.
> They entrust their bodies to the great wind, and in an instant spread their wings over the Xuanpu gardens.
> Wondrously mastering the ways of wind and water, they become the model of those who govern the rain.
