大膳は病死し、その子田代宇左衛門は下総国佐倉城主土井大炊頭殿に御預けとなった。以後引き継がれて、後の城主堀田加賀守殿に御預けとなった際、御構いが御赦免となって直接加賀守殿に仕えることとなった。ところが嫡子がいないため、田代養山の嫡子である当代の養元を養子とした。ところが堀田上野介が滅亡した際に浪人となり、以後宇左衛門は病死し、養元は江戸表にいたところ、吉品公の御代に召し出された。
実父養山は、祖父大膳が祝髪した際、医業を養子の田代養仙に譲り渡しておき、忠昌公の御代に大膳が願い出て、養仙は越後高田で召し出された。その子養山が跡知を下され、その子道伯に跡目が下されたが、死後嫡子がおらず、嫡家は断絶した。
吉品公の御代、元禄十五壬午年（1702年）に召し出され、特に良く勤めていたが、故あって御扶持を召し上げられた。
以後、吉邦公の御代、正徳三癸巳年（1713年）に召し出され、再び御扶持方を下された。

Daizen died of illness, and his son Tashiro Uzaemon was placed under the custody of Lord Doi Ōi-no-kami, the lord of Sakura Castle in Shimōsa Province. Later, when custody was transferred to the subsequent castle lord, Lord Hotta Kaga-no-kami, his confinement was pardoned and he directly served Lord Kaga-no-kami. However, as there was no legitimate heir, he adopted the current Yōgen, who was the eldest son of Tashiro Yōzan. When Lord Hotta Kōzuke-no-suke fell from power, he became a masterless samurai. Subsequently, Uzaemon died of illness, and while Yōgen was in Edo, he was summoned to service during Lord Yoshishina's reign.
His real father Yōzan, when his grandfather Daizen took the tonsure, had transferred the medical practice to his adopted son Tashiro Yōsen. During Lord Tadamasa's reign, at Daizen's request, Yōsen was summoned to service in Echigo Takada. His son Yōzan received the hereditary stipend, and his son Dōhaku received the succession. However, after his death, there was no legitimate heir, and the main family line was discontinued.
During Lord Yoshishina's reign, in the 15th year of Genroku, year of the Water Horse (1702), he was summoned to service and served particularly well, but for some reason his stipend was revoked.
Later, during Lord Yoshikuni's reign, in the 3rd year of Shōtoku, year of the Water Snake (1713), he was summoned again and received a stipend once more.
