英語訳
**[Right folio]**
**One variety: Hako (箱, "box")**
Its shape resembles that of the Tsurunoko, with indentations on all four sides, similar to the Hirakaki (flat persimmon). The astringency is strong, and it should be made into *rinshi* (astringency-removed persimmon).
**Another variety**
This variety is produced in Nagoya, Owari Province. A single calyx divides into four lobes, giving the fruit a shape resembling a lotus flower (*renge*). It is a rare and curious variety.

**[Left folio]**
**Shōheishi** (蒸餅柿, lit. "steamed-cake persimmon") [from the *Jikkai* / Collected Explanations]
**Maru** ("round")
Its shape is small and round, with a flat top and bottom. It ripens in the tenth month (approximately November by the modern calendar). It turns red when ripe, but its flavor is inferior to that of the *Zenji* (Zenjimaru persimmon).
**One variety**
**Kizawashi** · **Zenji**
Its shape is round and elongated, with a slightly flattened top and black spots on the skin. Inside the flesh there are sesame-like mottled markings. The flavor is sweet. Additionally, larger specimens of this variety are called **Hyakume-gaki** (百目柿, "hundred-*monme* persimmon").
