現代語訳
御札（お手紙）を拝見いたしました。このたび、小梁川の家の相続をお命じになり、御知行八百石を御一家ともども変わりなくお命じになり、また古中務の娘と縁組するようお命じになりましたこと、ありがたい幸せの至りであり、もっともなことと存じます。これにより、お礼のため使者をもって御太刀・馬代を献上いたしました。書状の趣旨を首尾よく披露（お取り次ぎ）いたしました。また、この使者に御目見えをお命じくださいましたことは、格別の幸せでございます。謹んで申し上げます。

英語訳
I have had the honor of reading your letter. Regarding this occasion, in which you have bestowed upon the Koyanagawa house the succession of the family, granted the stipend of eight hundred koku of land along with the entire household without any change, and commanded that a marriage be arranged with the daughter of the late Nakatsukasa — these are most gratifying and welcome tidings, and entirely proper. In recognition of this honor, I have dispatched a messenger to present a ceremonial sword and horse money as a gift of thanks. The contents of the letter have been duly conveyed in full. Furthermore, that the messenger was granted an audience is a matter of especial good fortune. Respectfully submitted.
