触れてもこぼれない物である。下種は地のしまりが悪く、
むらに重なって種の色さえ薄くして油気がなく、
少し触れてもぱらぱらとこぼれる物である。
桑の植え方
一 春は土用、秋は八月末、穴を三尺ほど掘り、盤土
を出し、上の肥土を内へ入れ、桑の根をよく広
げ、根が絡まないように植えるべきである。

一 翌年より年々、春は土用、秋は九月、桑の
根を少し掘り、糞水を注き、四五日目に乾か
し、その後土を覆うべきである。
一 十月、枝を集め、縄にて束ね、春になり縄
を取き、枝を広げるべきである。

How to Plant Mulberry Trees

the hardpan soil, put fertile topsoil inside, spread the mulberry roots well,
and plant so that the roots do not become entangled.

dig around the mulberry roots a little, apply liquid manure, dry for four to five days,
and then cover with soil.
