一 蚕種（蚕の卵）は夏の間は高い場所に掛けて置くべきである。
または紙に包んで箱に入れ、湿気を受けない場所に
置くのもよい。
一 半夏生から四十日前が掃き立て（孵化させる）の時期である。これより
七、八日前に取り出し、天日に直接当てないようにして
陽気を自然に受ける場所に掛けて置くべきである。

Alternatively, they may be wrapped in paper and placed in boxes
in locations that do not receive moisture.
1. Forty days before Hangeshō is the proper time for hatching. Seven or eight
days before this, take them out and hang them in a place where they can
naturally receive warmth without being exposed to direct sunlight.
