五欲の甲を戴き切取がうどうの小手腹巻に
悪 ̄ク|垨(ラツ)|無等(ムドウ)の臑当し我まん邪まんの弓矢を
た挟 ̄み放逸むざんの太刀をはき各其我々の重
代鉄の捧をつきならし眷属共を大勢引
連 ̄レ空をかけつて馳来り黒雲童子横雲童子
餘人のおに共に迎ひ申けるは我此山外日本無双
の名山にて昔より守護ふ入成に此度白雲山
のしわざによつて角恥かしめを請し事浅間山
幷に我等か恥辱いか計此恨みを報せんため
皆々を招 ̄キし也旁の所存わだかまりなく申され
よと詞そろへて述けれは鳩槃陀鬼(クハンダキ)のこう

(前ページより続き)食い逸らし、無明煩悩の鎧を着て、三毒五欲の甲を戴き、切り取り強盗の小手・腹巻に、悪辣無道の臑当てをつけ、我慢邪慢の弓矢を挟み、放逸無残の太刀を佩き、各々その先祖代々の鉄の棒を突きならし、眷属どもを大勢引き連れ、空を駆けって馳せ来た。黒雲童子・横雲童子が余の鬼どもを迎えて申すには、「我がこの山は他に並ぶものなき日本無双の名山であり、昔より守護不入であったのに、此度白雲山の仕業によってかくも恥辱を受けたことは、浅間山ならびに我らの恥辱いかほどのものか。この恨みを報いるために、皆々を招いたのである。各々の所存をわだかまりなく申されよ」と言葉を揃えて述べたところ、鳩槃陀鬼の後裔、毘舎闍鬼の末葉、悪羅刹どもが悪心盛んな大口を開き、牙をうち鳴らし、大声を上げて、「不届き至極の愚か者どもを一人残らず粉々にしてくれよう」と、鏡のような眼を怒らせ、剣のような牙を鳴らし、

(Continuing from the previous page) ...gnashing with wild hunger, wearing the armor of ignorance and earthly passions, bearing the helmet of the three poisons and five desires, outfitted with gauntlets and belly-armor of violent robbery, wearing greaves of wicked and lawless ways, carrying at their sides bows and arrows of arrogance and perverse pride, girded with swords of wanton cruelty, each rattling the iron staffs passed down from their forebears, they came rushing through the sky leading great numbers of their followers. Black Cloud Boy and Horizontal Cloud Boy greeted the assembled demons and declared: "This mountain of ours is the finest and most unrivaled mountain in all of Japan, and has been a sacred place forbidden to entry since ancient times. Yet through the machinations of Mount Hakuun, we have been subjected to such humiliation—how great indeed is the disgrace to Mount Asama and to us all! It is to exact revenge for this grievance that we have summoned you all here. Let each of you speak your intentions without reservation."
