ほろび恐（モウ）々と善悪にかゝわらざる物は存す
爰に清く爰ニ静かニして神の庭にあそび
只｜寂（セキ）只｜漠（バク）にして徳の宅を守るといへり今
時の風俗わ若々たりといへ共臣しんたらず父
ちゝたりと雖子こたらす神守らんと欲れ共
民うけかわず仏救はんと擬（ギ）すれ共衆生不
信上かみたらず下しもたらずさがなき浮
世ぞ方見（ウタテ）けれ去ば明和の始メゟ天地様々
の妖変を顕し民を喩すといへ共｜頑愚（グワング）不
信の人々は色々の浮説（フセツ）のみにて敢而心を
用る者糺し或は東天ニ当てほうき星顕
れ其後北の方に大白星出る事有亦は
明和七寅の夏星月中を貫き又安永八
年亥の秋東南ニ当て鳴動の声有之て十月
二日空｜腔朦（クウモウ）として灰降ル事雨のごとし
其後開運星金銀星出る抔と云事有
現代語訳
滅び、恐々として善悪に関わらない物は存続する。
ここに清く、ここに静かにして神の庭に遊び、
ただ寂、ただ漠として徳の住処を守るという。今
時の風俗は若々しいといえども臣は臣でなく、父は
父であるといえども子は子でない。神が守ろうと欲するけれども
民は受け入れず、仏が救おうと思うけれども衆生は不
信で、上は上でなく下は下でない。さがない浮
世がうたてしい。されば明和の始めより天地に様々な
妖変を現し民を諭すといえども、頑固で愚かで不
信な人々は色々の浮説のみで、あえて心を
用いる者はいない。あるいは東の空にほうき星が現
れ、その後北の方に大白星が出ることがあり、また
明和七年寅の夏に星が月の中を貫き、また安永八
年亥の秋、東南の方で鳴動の声があって、十月
二日空が朦朧として灰が降ること雨のごとし。
その後、開運星や金銀星が出るなどということがあった。
英語訳
Those who perish, and those fearful things that are unrelated to good and evil, continue to exist.
Here in purity, here in tranquility, playing in the garden of the gods,
in mere stillness and vastness, guarding the dwelling place of virtue. Though the
customs of the present time are said to be youthful, ministers are not truly ministers, and fathers,
though they are fathers, do not have children who are truly children. Though the gods wish to protect,
the people do not accept; though Buddha intends to save, the masses are faithless.
Those above are not truly above, those below are not truly below. What a
detestable floating world this is. Thus, from the beginning of the Meiwa era, heaven and earth have manifested various
supernatural phenomena to instruct the people, yet the stubborn, foolish, and faithless
people engage only in various frivolous theories, and there are none who dare apply their
hearts seriously. Sometimes a comet appeared in the eastern sky,
and afterwards a great white star appeared in the north. Also,
in the summer of Meiwa 7 (1770), year of the Tiger, a star pierced through the moon, and in the autumn of An'ei 8
(1779), year of the Boar, there was a rumbling sound from the southeast, and on the second day of the tenth month,
the sky became hazy and ash fell like rain.
Afterwards, there were such things as the appearance of auspicious stars and gold and silver stars.
