一 同七卯年七月跡式御知行百石無
御相違被下置外様組付被
仰付春日仁左衛門組へ入 御城御番相

一 同年十一月先達而江戸表におゐて
長沼流兵学修行いたし居半に罷
下候所此上半年余も相学候はゝ皆伝
にも可被成哉之由に相聞候此節江戸表へ
罷登皆伝相済候迄罷在出精修行

一 同七卯年（寛政七年・1795年）七月、跡式御知行百石を御相違なく下し置かれ、外様組付を仰せ付けられ、春日仁左衛門組へ入り、御城御番を相勤めた。
一 同年十一月、先に江戸表において長沼流兵学を修行していたが、修行半ばにして（会津へ）罷り下ったところ、このうえ半年余りも相学べば皆伝にもなられるかもしれないとの由が聞こえた。この時節、江戸表へ罷り登り、皆伝が相済むまで罷り在り、出精して修行

但し、これにより同十二月に罷り登り、翌辰年（寛政八年・1796年）九月に皆伝が相済み、罷り下った。

Item: In the seventh month of the seventh year of the same era, the Year of the Rabbit (Kansei 7, 1795), he was granted the inherited stipend (atoshiki go-chigyō) of 100 koku without any reduction, and was appointed to the tozama-gumi-tsuki (attachment to the outer samurai corps). He was assigned to the unit of Kasuga Jinzaemon and performed guard duty at the castle (o-shiro go-ban).
Item: In the eleventh month of the same year, it came to be known that he had previously been studying Naganuma-ryū military science (heigaku) in Edo but had returned (to Aizu) while his training was still only half complete, and that if he were to study for another half year or more, he might well attain full transmission (kaiden) of the school. At this time, he was ordered to go up to Edo, to remain there until he had completed and received the full transmission, and to apply himself diligently to his training.

Furthermore, it was decreed that during his stay, he would be granted seven-person stipend (shichinin-fuchi) in Edo without any reduction (御借上なく).
Note: Accordingly, he departed for Edo in the twelfth month of the same year, completed his full transmission (kaiden) in the ninth month of the following year, the Year of the Dragon (Kansei 8, 1796), and returned (to Aizu).
Item: In the sixth month of the ninth year of the same era, the Year of the Snake (Kansei 9, 1797), having previously studied Naganuma-ryū military science in Edo, and in order to further strengthen the school's official role within the domain, he was once again ordered to undergo training. He again went up to Edo, applied himself diligently, obtained full transmission, and returned. It was then noted that, with regard to Naganuma-ryū, now that it had become an official domain school (go-ryūyaku), the training of mounted samurai (kōshi) and foot soldiers (ashinarami)...
