一 同年六月、当務が繁多につき、願いの通り兵学指南を御免なされた事。
一 同年八月、勤番のため江戸表へ罷り登り、翌亥年三月、御下向の御供にて罷り下った事。
一 同年（亥年）五月、この度の御下向の節、道中筋にて人馬が減じられたことにより、格別に辛労の儀であった中、出精して相勤め、且つ御供の面々への人馬配分の儀について臨時の勤労を致したことにつき、御褒美として

一 同年八月、追鳥狩の節に罷り出て、鳥を打ち留めたが、乗馬が難儀で下馬し兼ねるところを、野村忠次郎が見かけて声を掛け、断った上で下馬し、その鳥を捕らえて渡したことにつき、相打ちの趣として御祐筆所へ届け出たところ、尤もな儀であり、折を以て御聴に達すべきとのことであったが、相打ちではなく一己の勝負である旨を仰せ聞かされた事。

Item: In the second month of the second year of Kyōwa (享和二年), the year of Inu (戌), he was granted the reassignment of the borrowed residence (o-kashiage yashiki) formerly held by Kōsaka Kinai, located in Yoneshiro Sanchō (米代三之丁).
Item: In the sixth month of that same year, owing to the great volume of his current duties, he was relieved of his post as instructor of military science (heigaku shinan), as he had requested.
Item: In the eighth month of that same year, he traveled up to Edo (江戸) for his tour of duty (kinban), and in the third month of the following year of I (亥), he returned in attendance upon his lord's return journey (o-gekō).
Item: In the fifth month of that same year (year of I), during his lord's return journey, the allotment of men and horses along the road was reduced, which caused considerable hardship. Nevertheless, he carried out his duties with great diligence, and additionally performed extraordinary service in the distribution and coordination of men and horses for those in the escort party. For this, as a reward,

Item: In the eighth month of that same year, during the toritoi-gari (bird-hunt drive), he went out to participate and succeeded in shooting down a bird; however, his horse was difficult to handle and he was unable to dismount. Noticing this, Nomura Chūjirō called out to him, and after declining the offer, he dismounted and retrieved the bird and handed it over. He subsequently reported this to the o-yūhitsu-sho (the official secretarial office) as a case of a shared catch (ai-uchi). The office deemed it a reasonable matter and indicated it would be reported to their lord at an appropriate occasion. However, it was communicated to him that it was not in fact a shared catch, but rather a contest won by a single individual (i.e., his own achievement alone).
