一 同年四月、書学寮の取り締まり・管理を命じられた。
一 同三亥年八月、父親の願い出により、初めてお目見えを仰せ付けられた。

One entry: In the 10th month of Kōwa 2 [1802], the Year of the Dog, when the御用人所 (the administrative office) was destroyed by a lightning-caused fire, [Motarō Yoshiharu] rushed to the scene immediately and worked diligently in firefighting and fire prevention efforts. This was recognized and commended by the lord.
One entry: In the 4th month of the same year, he was appointed to oversee and manage the Shogakuryō (the domain's calligraphy/writing academy).
One entry: In the 8th month of Kōwa 3 [1803], the Year of the Boar, at his father's petition, he was granted his first formal audience (o-mimai) with the lord.
