一 五月十日 右同様の件につき御礼の御使者松平主馬正恒を江戸表へ派遣した。今日福井を出立した。
一 同月二十五日 御帰国の御礼として御使者松平主馬正恒をもって例の通り奉書紙並びに昆布・干鯛・御樽を献上した。主馬は御城へ出向き(昨二十四日御留守居から御用番へ伺いを立てた上で)御献上物を納めた。その節檜之間へ御用番戸田山城守忠昌殿が出座し、御奏者番朽木伊予守殿へ御目録を主馬が差し上げた。
ただし主馬は去る二十二日に江戸に着き、二十三日に御用番へ御書を差し出した。
一 同月二十九日 右同様の件で御使者松平主馬正恒が御城へ出向いたところ(昨二十八日御用番戸田山城守殿から申し来たり)檜之間において御用番戸田山城守忠昌殿から御返書をお渡しいただき、その節主馬へ御時服三つを拝領するよう仰せ付けられた旨を山城守殿が申し聞かせられた。御品物は御奏者番黒田甲斐守長重殿が主馬へお渡しになった。それが済んで主馬は拝領物の御礼として御用番並びに土屋相模守政直殿へ挨拶に伺った。
一 同月(日付不詳) 御老中土屋相模守政直殿から御呼び出しがあり御留守居が出向いたところ、御精進揚げの御献上について、御肴は今後干肴・塩肴の内から[献上すべき旨仰せられた]

1. May 10th: Regarding the same matter, Envoy Matsudaira Shume Masatsune was dispatched to Edo as a courtesy messenger. [He] departed Fukui today.
1. May 25th: As thanks for the return to the home province, through Envoy Matsudaira Shume Masatsune, formal paper, kelp, dried sea bream, and sake barrels were presented as customary. Shume went to the castle and (after the caretaker inquired with the duty councilor yesterday, the 24th) delivered the tribute items. At that time, Duty Councilor Toda Yamashiro-no-kami Tadamasa appeared in the Hinoki-no-ma chamber, and Shume presented the gift list to Master of Ceremonies Kuchiki Iyo-no-kami.
Note: Shume arrived in Edo on the 22nd and submitted the letter to the duty councilor on the 23rd.

May 29th: Regarding the same matter, Envoy Matsudaira Shume Masatsune went to the castle, where (as communicated yesterday, the 28th, by Duty Councilor Toda Yamashiro-no-kami) he received a reply letter from Duty Councilor Toda Yamashiro-no-kami Tadamasa in the Hinoki-no-ma chamber. At that time, Yamashiro-no-kami informed him that Shume was granted three sets of seasonal court dress. The items were handed to Shume by Master of Ceremonies Kuroda Kai-no-kami Nagashige. After this was completed, Shume paid courtesy visits to the duty councilor and Tsuchiya Sagami-no-kami Masanao to express gratitude for the granted items.
