（おのおのが疱瘡の子どもを）守り続けたところ、妙薬の効きも良く、十二日の日数もあっという間に（瞬く間に）過ぎ、世並み（世の常）よく、どこの里でも過ちなく、笹湯のお祝いが賑やかに（行われ）、幾万人もの子どもたちの喜び——親たちも安堵して、疱瘡神を尊敬し、ご馳走をして送り出せば、軽い疱瘡にあやかりたいと、すぐに（次の子どもを）迎える家もあって、子どもも

【Right Sheet, Upper Section】
Having watched over and cared for the children, the efficacy of the wondrous medicine proved excellent, and the twelve-day count passed in the blink of an eye. All went well with the world — in every village there were no misfortunes, and the celebratory sasayu (bamboo-grass bath) festivities were held merrily. The joy of countless tens of thousands of children and the relief of their parents were immeasurable; they held the smallpox gods in great esteem, offered them feasts, and sent them on their way. So eager were some households to benefit from a light case of smallpox that they immediately invited the gods in for their next child as well — and so children
