It is an alternate printing of the first edition, published in Kan'ei 4 (1627).

[Volumes 1 and 2 have been bound together as "Volume, Upper" (*kan-jō*). Both the beginning and end of the book are missing. At the beginning, the Chinese-language preface, the table of contents, and folios 1 through 4 recto — a total of seven and a half folios — are missing. At the end, folio 58 is missing.]
[This edition is identical to the upper volume of Tohoku University Okamoto Collection, item 005, down to the finest details of the *furigana* (phonetic readings). For example, two variant *furigana* readings are used for the character 置: "woku" (をく) and "oku" (おく), and their usage corresponds perfectly between the two copies.]
[Frames 10 and 11 are identical (duplicate images).]
