This book is thought to be a counterfeit (suspect/variant) edition of the Kan'ei 4 (1627) printing.
It is the upper volume of a four-volume, upper-and-lower bound set.
　　Seven and a half folios are missing from the beginning; the text begins from the verso of the eighth folio.

According to the theory of Mr. Kamuji Yūshō: in the counterfeit edition of the Kan'ei 4 printing, the character representing each section is placed in the center margin (hanshin), with "Kan-jō" (upper volume) or "Kan-ge" (lower volume) added above it … and Article 20, "On Lumber," has been removed … [This suggests that the author of this annotation had access to and examined the lower volume as well.]
