その後も、（大納言殿は）普通の気持ちではいられなかった。さらに不安な気持ちで、北の方（奥方）にこのような夢を見たことが気がかりでならないと語られた。そのような折に、帝より勅使があり、よき様の（吉日の）会合の次第があるとのことで、それぞれが参上することになった。「早くご参内なさいませ」ということになり、これにより大納言殿は、取るものも取りあえず（急いで）出発なさった。さて、この大納言殿の家の子（家臣）に、仲太の三郎義久という者がいた。この者は、先祖・仲太の京夫義兼と（いう者の子孫であった）……

Even after that, (the Dainagon) could not feel at ease. Still feeling anxious, he confided to his wife (the Lady of the North) that such a dream troubled him greatly. It was at just such a time that an imperial envoy arrived from the Emperor, bearing word that there was to be an auspicious assembly, and that all were to attend. "You must proceed to the palace with all haste," came the word, and as a result, the Dainagon departed immediately, without even a moment to gather his belongings.
