Next, those who make daily visits to the small shrine perform the role of offering divine food (shinku)
Next, the celebrant (hafuri) ascends to the great platform (ōdoko). At this time, two attendants (tenku) advance as before, line up side by side, perform one bow, and wait on the left and right of the earthen platform (doi)
Next, the divine offerings of the outer sanctuary are removed
The procedure is: first remove the daily imperial offerings (hi-miryō), then sequentially remove from the celebrant's side starting with the raised cups. After completing the removal as in the main shrine ceremony, place them on the offering table and return them to the original location. The divine offerings are placed in the spice chest (kara-bitsu) as before. When descending to the earthen platform, the attendants return to their seats
Next, the chief priest (negi) rises and proceeds to the earthen platform, lines up side by side, performs two bows (or perhaps one bow), and enters the inner sanctuary. The attendants also advance as before and wait at the great platform and earthen platform
Next, the celebrant rolls up the sacred curtain (misu)
Next, the divine offerings of the inner sanctuary are removed
The procedure is: first, the junior attendants advance a round tray to the great platform. Next, remove the sacred sake (together with the stand), then the celebrant's side removes sea bream, ray fish, and gar-

lic, bark-wrapped rice cakes, etc. (placed on one round tray), then boat-shaped rice and boat-shaped rice cakes (same as before), then the chief priest's side removes the special offerings of sea bream, ray fish, garlic, bark-wrapped rice cakes, then boat-shaped rice, boat-shaped rice cakes, and chopsticks, then the purification hollyhock and katsura (both left and right)
Each is placed on one round tray and removed, then the hollyhock and katsura offered at the day's removal site are placed on top of a small eight-legged stand. For Kifune shrine:
Since the Kanpō era reconstruction, they have been placed on top of the spice chest on the chief priest's side. There is an oral tradition regarding the placement of hollyhock and katsura. About five stems are selected from within the eight chains of hollyhock and placed on the small eight-legged stand together with the left and right scenic object boxes. The remainder is secretly kept in one's bosom. However, at Kifune, this may depend on what is appropriate at the time.
After removing the above divine offerings, they are placed in the sacred chest as before and positioned on top of the offering table in the worship hall
Next, sacred wiping cloths are presented (half-paper folded once and inserted into bamboo grass, using one sheet each for left and right). After completion, the attendants return to their seats
Next, the celebrant lowers the sacred curtain (at this time, place the small cups at the original location, wipe them, and also wipe the offering tables, etc.)
Next, the chief priest exits the inner sanctuary and returns to the original seat
Next, the celebrant exits the inner sanctuary and closes the sacred door (the chief priest, attendants, etc. prostrate themselves). At this time, the attendants rise and present the sacred lock wrapping (the senior attendant's role, inserted into bamboo grass as usual)
At this time, exchange with the sacred key. After completion, return to seats (at this time, return the sacred key to the shrine maiden)
