賀茂別雷社社務職補任の次第
《父祖不詳》
男床 この男床という者は、生まれた場所もなく、木の枝に乗って虚空から飛来した者である。大化二年に補任され、天長二年に死去するまで百七十九年間治めた。ただし、男床以前については、人皇三十代の欽明天皇の御世に賀茂社が初めて設置されたと云々。そもそもこの男床は聖神寺建立の本願主で、和銅五年（庚寅）に当寺を草創し、弘仁十一年に造立したのは当社の神託によるものである。
また男床の時代、聖武天皇の御代である天平二年十二月十四日に御手代田一町を奉納し、御手代会神事はこの時から始まった。次に一年中の神事用途が少ないということで申請し、一町を加増された。光仁天皇の御時に賀茂禰宜祝が初めて笏を持つようになったのは天応元年（辛酉）四月である。平城天皇の御世、大同二年に初めて当社の祭礼が行われた。

Record of Appointments to the Shrine Administrative Position at Kamo Betsuraijinja Shrine

Otoko-doko: This Otoko-doko was a person who had no birthplace and came flying from the void riding on tree branches. He was appointed in the second year of Taika (646) and governed for 179 years until his death in the second year of Tenchō (825). However, before Otoko-doko's time, it is said that Kamo Shrine was first established during the reign of Emperor Kinmei, the 30th emperor. This Otoko-doko was the founding patron of Shōjin-ji Temple. He founded the temple in the fifth year of Wadō (712, year of the Metal Tiger) and built it in the eleventh year of Kōnin (820) following an oracle from this shrine.
Also during Otoko-doko's time, in the reign of Emperor Shōmu, on the 14th day of the 12th month of the second year of Tenpyō (730), one chō of imperial deputy rice fields was dedicated, and the imperial deputy meeting ritual began from this time. Subsequently, because the funds for year-round shrine rituals were insufficient, an additional chō was granted upon request. During the reign of Emperor Kōnin, the Kamo negi and hafuri first began carrying ritual batons in the fourth month of the first year of Ten'ō (781, year of the Metal Rooster). In the reign of Emperor Heizei, the shrine festival was first conducted in the second year of Daidō (807).
