用意をなす。畑に出てみれば、蚕豆の早蒔きのものは既に実を結び、菜の花は爛漫として、黄金色を一面に敷いたようである。牛蒡、胡瓜、隠元豆、南瓜、真桑瓜の種蒔きの時期である。野菜は三月に大根を植えた頃のように育ち、紫蘇や蓼の苗も繁茂している。五月は大の月で、日数は（三十一日である）。
