現代語訳
一、公事（訴訟）に出廷する者は、たとえ将軍直参の者であっても、刀・脇差を帯刀してはならない。
一、公事人（訴訟当事者）の親類・縁者・知人であっても、評定衆は寄合場においてその者たちを取り扱ってはならない。
一、遠国から参上した公事については、その日の帳簿の順番通りに審理するものとする。ただし、聴取しなければ支障をきたす事柄および急用の場合は、この限りではない。
一、公事について不審な点がある場合は、担当の役人がその任に当たること。また、座中全員からも遠慮なく意見を申し出るべきこと。
一、公事の裁許（判決）が下された後、担当役人は公事の締め留書（記録）を作成すること。伊豆守・豊後守・加賀守は、その日の公事留書（記録）を写させるよう申し付けること。
一、公事がその日に決着しない場合は、当該評定衆が翌日に寄合を開くよう申し付け、それでも解決しない場合は年寄中（老中）に相談した上で言上（上申）すること。
一、公事を役者（担当者）の所にて審理している間に、寄合場へ出席すべき公事については、証人・証拠を揃えて出廷し、滞りなく進められるよう

One: Those who appear in litigation (lawsuits) shall not carry long swords or short swords, even if they are direct retainers of the shogun (hatamoto or gokenin).
One: Even if a litigant is a relative, kinsman, or acquaintance of a member of the council of adjudicators (hyōjōshū), the adjudicators shall not handle that person's case at the assembly hall (yoriaiba).
One: Litigation cases brought from distant provinces shall be heard in the order they appear in that day's register. However, matters that cannot be left unheard and urgent cases are exceptions to this rule.
One: If there are any doubts or suspicions regarding a litigation case, the official in charge of that matter shall attend to it. All members of the assembly are also encouraged to freely offer their opinions without reservation.
One: After a verdict (saiky ū) has been rendered in a litigation case, the official in charge shall prepare a written record (shime-tomegaki) of the case. The governors of Izu, Bungo, and Kaga are to have copies made of that day's litigation records.
One: If a litigation case is not resolved on that day, the adjudicators in charge shall convene a meeting the following day. If it remains unresolved, they shall consult with the senior councillors (rōjūchū) and then submit a report to higher authority.
