その旨を申し出たので、かねてより相談の上で定めておいた五家相続の誓戒の置文（おきぶみ）を読み聞かせ、いずれも納得した上で、次第転任の願書と両様の書付を差し上げた。その内容をこの度御奉行所へ差し上げたものであり、社中立会いの上、封印した形で存在している。一社の日記に詳細が見られる。その際に差し上げた次第転任の願書を以下に記す。
謹んで御願い申し上げる口上
今度、五家相続の人物として、五家それぞれ別れた者、並びに古く別れた者どもの書付を差し上げるべき旨、仰せ渡された。社中一同承知し、謹んで畏まり、右の輩を考え合わせた上で書付を差し上げる。しかるところ、神主重統が申すには、この度の五家相続について、某（それがし）の嫡男重治、次男次郎丸、弟の重旧・重宥の両人、並びに岡本宮内の弟・地松大夫保齢、以上五人をもって相続を仰せ付けられるよう、社中一同より願い奉りたい旨を申したので、社中一同

As they had stated their intentions, the written oath (okibumi) concerning the succession of the five families, which had been previously determined through consultation, was read aloud to all parties. Once everyone had given their consent, a petition for sequential transfer of positions (shidai tennin) and two types of written documents were submitted. These documents were then submitted to the magistrate's office (Bugyōsho) on this occasion, and they exist in sealed form with witnesses from the shrine community present. The details can be found in the shrine's daily records (nisshiki). The petition for sequential transfer of positions submitted at that time is recorded below.
A respectfully submitted oral petition
On this occasion, it has been ordered that written documents be submitted listing those persons eligible for succession of the five families — namely, those who have branched off from the five families and those who branched off long ago. The entire shrine community acknowledges and humbly accepts this order, and hereby submits the written documents listing the said individuals after due consideration. In this regard, the chief priest (kannushi) Shigetsuna states that, concerning the succession of the five families on this occasion, he wishes to petition on behalf of the entire shrine community that succession be entrusted to the following five individuals: his eldest son Shigeharu, his second son Jirōmaru, his two brothers Shigefuru and Jūyū, and Okamoto Kunai's younger brother Jimatsudayū Horei.
