は林岡本両家之外は如社法次第
転補職ニ被仰付末六職之所如有
来於一社中相応之人体相選新
補申上候様ニ被為仰付被下候得は
則弘仁之御格之趣ニ御座候而古法
社例等も相立何之違乱之儀も無
御座一社中静謐之儀ニ御座候此度
之仰違背仕候儀ニ而は曽以無御座
候得共後々年迄ケ様之申分も出来
不仕無邪意神事祭礼無為ニ相
勤候様ニと奉願儀ニ御座候故申上候
間右之趣被為聞召分何とそ願
之通被為仰付被下候様ニ一社一同ニ

現代語訳
このたび五家の者どもをこのようにご命令くださった上は、林・岡本両家を除いては、社法に従って順次職を転補するようにご命令いただき、末の六職については、従来どおり一社中において相応しい人物を選んで新たに補任申し上げるようにご命令くださいますれば、すなわち弘仁の御格の趣旨に沿うものであり、古い法や社例なども守られ、何ら違乱のことも生じることなく、一社中が穏やかに治まることになります。このたびのご命令に背くようなことは、全くございませんが、後々の年まで、このような申し分も起きず、邪心なく神事・祭礼を滞りなく勤められますようにとお願い申し上げる次第でございます。ゆえに申し上げた次第ですので、右の趣旨をご了解いただき、何とぞ願いの通りにご命令くださいますよう、一社一同してお願い申し上げます。以上。

Now that the five families have been given these orders, we request that, with the exception of the Hayashi and Okamoto families, appointments and transfers of positions be made in accordance with shrine law, and that for the remaining six positions, as has been the custom, suitable individuals be selected from within the shrine community and newly appointed as directed. This would accord with the provisions of the Kōnin Code, uphold ancient laws and shrine precedents, prevent any disorder or disputes, and bring peace and stability to the entire shrine community. We have absolutely no intention of defying the current orders; however, we humbly petition that measures be taken so that, for years to come, no such grievances will arise, and that divine rites and festivals may be performed without incident and with sincerity. For this reason, we have made this appeal, and we humbly request that you understand the above and grant our petition as stated. Respectfully submitted.
