御伝奏へ申し上げた事でございます。総じて、以前より社職に補任される際には、このような誓戒・神文を仲間へ差し出し置くことでございます。その子細は、右に書き付けた通り、寛永の頃に四、五家の社司が違乱を申したことより、申し分（言い争い）が発生したことにより、一同の静謐を第一に存ずるためでございます。すなわち、当岡本宮内保礼の祖父が関東において七家御定めが遊ばされた節に加えられた「保可」と申すのは、初めて社職を願い上げた時に神文を致し置いたものです。それゆえ、当宮内親・保喬と申す者に至るまで、何の違乱も申さなかった。近頃の享保元年より起きた出入り（争い）においても、七家が一同に組せず（争いに加担せず）おりました。右の五家誓戒の置文本紙ならびに保可神文の写し、その外、最初より是迄の儀は、概ね往来田の出入りの儀につき、去る六月十日に志摩守様のお命じを蒙り書付を差し上げたところ、御遠行の後、置文本紙をお返しになられた。しかるに、十月四日に往来田

The matter was reported to the Imperial Liaison (Gidensō). In general, from former times, when someone was appointed to a shrine post, it has been the practice to submit such oaths and divine pledges (shinmon) to one's colleagues. The details are as written above: since the time in the Kan'ei era when the shrine officials of four or five houses fell into dispute and arguments arose, the primary concern has been to maintain the peace and tranquility of all parties.
