一　近衛殿御内木瀬吉十郎物語留
　　寛永四年十二月十七日正祝入道化安関白様え参り重

　　秋カ職ノ口　宣指上申候又慶長十八年重次ヲ権祝ニ任シ元
　　和元年改而正祝ニ任スルノ由書付ヲ以関白殿え上ケ置申候也
一　此以後社司中之申分不相立様ニ風聞ニ付社司無興之
　　余ニ面々拝任之職ヲモ悉ク上表仕候由申上タル通伝聞
　　候ニ付而又氏人中ヨリ伝奏迄ノ理リ状上ケ申留

一　今月十四日夜御棚会之御神事奉幣事
一　同十五日早天之御神事御戸開内陣之役御座

現代語訳

一、寛永八年（1631）十一月二十一日、社司が改めて小折紙（申請書）を上申した。その内容は以下の通り。

　　以上のように申請書を提出したが、光廣卿からの返事として、「以前に争論があった以上は、十分に吟味した上で申請するよう」との仰せがあり、決着はつかなかった。

一、近衛殿のご家中の木瀬吉十郎の話として記録する。

　　寛永四年（1627）十二月十七日、正祝入道化安が関白様のもとへ参上し、重秋の職の口宣（任命文書）を差し上げた。また、慶長十八年（1613）に重次を権祝に任じ、元和元年（1615）に改めて正祝に任ずる旨の書付を、関白殿へ提出してあるとのことである。

一、この後、社司たちの申し立てが認められない見通しとなったという風聞が広まったため、社司たちは不満のあまり、各自が拝任している職をことごとく辞表として上申しようとした由が伝え聞こえた。これにより、また氏人たちから伝奏に宛てた理由書（理状）が提出された。その記録は以下の通り。

Item: On the 21st day of the 11th month of Kanei 8 (1631), the shrine officials (社司) submitted a further petition (koorizami/小折紙). The contents were as follows:

　　Although the petition was submitted in this manner, the response from Lord Mitsuhiro stated that, given the disputes of previous years, the matter should be thoroughly investigated before submission, and thus no resolution was reached.

Item: Recorded as told by Kise Kichijūrō, a retainer of the Konoe household:

　　On the 17th day of the 12th month of Kanei 4 (1627), Shōhafuri Nyūdō Kean (the chief ritual priest who had taken Buddhist vows) visited the Kampaku (Imperial Regent), and presented the kuzen (official appointment document) for the position of Shigaki. Furthermore, a written document was previously submitted to the Kampaku stating that in Keichō 18 (1613), Shigetsugu was appointed as Gon-hafuri (Provisional Ritual Priest), and in Genna 1 (1615), was formally appointed as Shōhafuri (Chief Ritual Priest).

Item: After this, when rumors spread that the shrine officials' claims were unlikely to be accepted, the shrine officials, in deep dissatisfaction, reportedly expressed their intention to collectively submit letters of resignation for all the positions they currently held. Upon hearing this, the clan members (ujibito) again submitted a written statement of reasons (risho) to the Tensō (Imperial Liaison). The record of this submission follows:
