伝奏は立烏帽子（帽子を着用）、直垂を着て、網代の乗り物に乗り、青侍五人、近習四人（各々麻の上下を着用）を伴い、長刀一対、挿箱、立傘等を持参した。
延享元年甲子年（1744年）の正月の足汰にも、伝奏中山中納言栄親卿が見物のために出向いた。
一、中右院御所が当社に行幸された時、臨時の競馬があり、御所屋から見物された。
一、天正十二年（1584年）五月五日、親王（後陽成院）が競馬を見物された場所について。

競馬乗尻覚悟
一、今年乗馬が決定した者は、水揚の老女に約束させ、取り決めを行った。
ただし、相対の事情については様々あるため、その詳細は奥に記載する。
一、赤飯の餅米を用意すること。
五月四日には御酒に添えて献上する。五日には神人、馬主、馬付等に出す。同日、馬場には供三人並びに水揚の下女の昼食にも使用する。その他配る場所については、軒数を計算し、一軒につき二合ずつが大体の目安である。六日にも少々必要である。ただし、餅米一斗に精白米二升を混ぜるのが良い。
一、小豆を用意すること。（餅米一升に小豆二合の割合で入れれば見苦しくない）
一、丹波ゴザ一枚を調達すること。（桜笥の覆いである）

The court messenger (densō) wore a formal court cap (tate-eboshi), a hitatare robe, rode in a wicker palanquin, and was accompanied by five blue-clad attendants and four personal attendants (each wearing hemp kamishimo), carrying paired long swords, insertion boxes, standing umbrellas, and other items.
In the first year of Enkyō (1744), on New Year's Day horse selection (ashizoroe), Court Messenger Nakayama Middle Counselor Chikachika also came to observe.
One instance: When the Chūu-in Palace made an imperial visit to our shrine, there was an extraordinary horse race, which was observed from the palace quarters.
One instance: On the fifth day of the fifth month of Tenshō 12 (1584), Prince (later Emperor Go-Yōzei) observed the horse races at this location.

Preparations for Horse Race Riders
One: For those whose horses have been determined for this year's races, arrangements have been made and agreements finalized with the senior women in charge of water ceremonies.
Note: There are various circumstances regarding negotiations, the details of which are recorded separately.
One: Prepare glutinous rice for red rice.
On the fourth day of the fifth month, it is offered along with sacred sake. On the fifth day, it is distributed to shrine personnel, horse owners, horse attendants, etc. On the same day, it is also given as lunch to three servants at the racecourse and junior women of the water ceremony. For other distribution locations, calculate by the number of households - approximately two gō per household is standard. A small amount is also needed on the sixth day. Note: It is good to mix two shō of polished rice with one to of glutinous rice.
One: Prepare red beans. (If you add red beans at a ratio of two gō per one shō of glutinous rice, it will not look unsightly)
One: Procure one Tanba mat. (This serves as a cover for the cherry wood box)
