第一 養蚕室の建築について 南西か東西向きが良い。西北に面してはいけない。
陰湿になる心配がある。その部屋はあまり大きくしてはいけないし、また非常に小さくしてもいけない。
大きすぎると寒さを防ぐのが難しく、小さすぎると暑さをしのぐのに不便である。したがって
二間半程度に仕切り、天井部分を四尺余り開けて開閉できるようにして
陰陽の気を調整する。窓戸は南北両方にあるべきである。南風が激しければ
北戸を開いてこもった蒸し暑い気を逃がし、北風が寒ければ火を焚いて
暖める。蚕室の温度は60度から70度までを限度とする。
東南は開けて明るくすべきで、西は日陰にすべきである。もし日陰がなければ
夕日が激しく照りつける時には遮らなければならない。蚕に害があるだろう。もし桑の
手入れが行き届けば、この心配はおそらく免れるであろう。
第二 原蚕卵の選び方 およそ蚕卵は、その台紙一面に産み付けられ、地
合いが密で、粘着している卵粒が肥えて潤いがあり乾燥していないもの。これを

First: Construction of the silkworm rearing room - Southwest or east-west orientation is good. It should not face northwest.
There is concern about dampness and humidity. The room should not be too large, nor should it be too small.
If too large, it is difficult to prevent cold; if too small, it is inconvenient to escape heat. Therefore,
partition it to about 2.5 ken in size, open about 4 shaku of the ceiling area and install opening and closing mechanisms
to regulate the yin and yang qi. There should be windows and doors on both north and south sides. When the south wind is strong,
open the north door to release stagnant humid air, and when the north wind is cold, add fire to
