**18th day**: Rain, strong northerly wind, rain since last night. Same. Lunch and dinner: usual.
Polished the hanging lanterns (*rindō*) among the Buddhist altar fittings.

**19th day**: Clear. Same. Lunch: bean rice. Dinner: pickled radish (*takuan*).
In the morning, same as above. In the afternoon, planted greens at Dōho. Working together with the servant Gorōemon, planted approximately thirty *bu* (steps/square units) of seedlings.
A fire broke out at the residence of Oida Ihei in Aiya Village.

**20th day**: Rain, then clear. Same. Lunch and dinner: usual, pickled radish.
In the morning, same as above. In the afternoon, harvested buckwheat at Dōho, and also planted greens there.

A written notice was distributed by Komaya-sama of Terute-kamimachi in Fukui, announcing that they would open a sake shop from the 23rd, with the following prices:

Honzuiji Temple in Fukui is to hold a memorial service for its founding priest beginning the following day.
