**[Right Folio]**
**Rubbing/Template (oshigata) of the Sacred Comb-Door (kushido) of the Temporary Shrine (gonsha) built during the Shōtoku 1 (1711) Reconstruction — [Same as the Main Shrine]**
Dimensions: 1 sun 7 bu square
**[Annotations in red ink]**
During both the Shōtoku and Kanhō reconstructions, the distance from the western threshold (yose-shikii) to the comb-door was 1 shaku, 2 bu, 5 rin. This was measured and confirmed by Mitsumune.
During the Shōtoku reconstruction, the distance from the northern threshold to the comb-door was 3 shaku, 9 sun, 8 bu. This was confirmed by Kotonao, Kiyosato, and Yoshi[moto/fumi/—]. (Main Shrine □)
During Kanhō [year damaged by insects], from the north of the Temporary Shrine: 3 shaku, 9 sun, 6 bu. This was confirmed by Mitsumune.
The above rubbing of the form was taken on the 26th day of the 6th month of Shōtoku 1, the day of the temporary enshrinement (kari-sengū) of the main shrine, when the divine seat (shinza) and sacred treasures (shinpō) and other furnishings of the inner sanctum (naijin) of the newly constructed Temporary Shrine were being arranged and set in place.

**[Left Folio]**
The above has been recorded in diagram form for the reference and awareness of future generations.

**Addendum**
One entry: Record of the 28th day of the 4th month of Enpō 7 (1679). *[As recorded by Agatamai Suetsū]*
The master carpenter (daiku) Saemon came and questioned [me], saying: "On this occasion, due to the simplification [of the reconstruction procedures], various matters differ from precedent. Among these, the traditional methods and regulations (hōshiki) handed down for the construction of this shrine are matters of the utmost importance to uphold. The oral traditions (kuchikire) pertaining to the shrine's construction are matters that other bannagashira (shift supervisors) must not be permitted to know."
[I] then retrieved the secret oral transmissions that had been handed down, and asked: "Are these known and transmitted within your household?" He answered: "As you command — the formal procedures for this shrine's construction — including the site layout (jibiki) of the various shrine buildings and the dimensions of the sacred treasures and below — [are recorded] in the drawings of my grandfather Saemon..."
