[Right folio] Beyond these, there are also numerous end-shrines (massha). On the Matter of Festival Dates 4th month, middle Wu day [午日]: Mikage Festival (also called Miare Festival) 4th month, middle Tori day [酉日]: Begun in the reign of Emperor Kinmei Kamo Festival 11th month, lower Tori day [酉日]: Begun in the 1st year of Kanpyō, Emperor Uda Rinji Festival 4th month, middle Saru day [申日]: Kuni Festival Kampaku Kamo Pilgrimage Begun by Lord Kentoku in the Tenroku era — this is a matter of great honor for this shrine. Beyond the above, the various major and minor Shinto rites that have been conducted since ancient times as affairs of this shrine numbered over seventy occasions; however, following the decline of the shrine's landholdings, they have gradually been reduced to over thirty occasions, and in truth we are now merely maintaining the outward forms of these ceremonies. [Left folio] On the Matter of Shrine Landholdings (Shinryō) In former times, by means of official documents (kanpu), the four villages of Atago District in this province (Yamashiro), as well as estate lands (shōen) and imperial kitchen establishments (mikuriya-dokoro) in various provinces, were donated to the shrine, amounting to several dozen locations — all administered with great rigor and stability. However, following the military conflicts of the Bunmei and Ōnin eras, these all fell into ruin. What little remained in the nearby villages was gathered together, and at the time of Toyotaiko (Toyotomi Hideyoshi)'s land survey (kenchi) during the Tenshō era, a yield of 541 koku was officially transferred at Shimogamo village — this constitutes the current extent of the shrine's landholdings. In addition to the above: 10 koku Hafuri · Kamo-kyō, Junior Second Rank The above is to be collected from Kannonji village, Funai District, Tanba Province. 120 koku Kawai Negi · Nashiki, Junior Fifth Rank The above comes from Chōhōji village, Otokuni District, Yamashiro Province; Tsukahara village in the same district and province; and [villages in] Kadono District, the same province—
