【右丁】 一 寛文二寅年五月、鳳翔院様が御下向なさるにつき、御迎えのため罷り登り、御目見えを仰せ付けられ、御懇ろなる御意を成し下し置かれた。同月、御供仕り罷り下った事。   御同人様より御帷子二つ、御単物一つを下し置かれた事。 一 同年八月、有り難き御意の上、組頭役を仰せ付けられた事。 一 同三卯年八月、江戸へ勤番のため罷り登り、翌辰年二月に罷り下った事。 【左丁】 一 同六午年(月は不詳)、組士・相沢平右衛門と飯田八郎兵衛の喧嘩の節、委細に僉議を致し、小原采女方へ書付をも差し出し、御披見に入れたところ、半右衛門の吟味の趣が明白に思し召された間、僉議に及ばずとの事にて、半右衛門の僉議を以て仰せ付けるべき旨、有り難き御意をも成し下し置かれた事。 一 同七未年九月、江戸へ勤番のため罷り登り、浜御屋敷に相勤め罷り在った節、御長屋に附火が在ったにつき、一柳平左衛門へ加わり僉議を致すべき旨仰せ付けられ、存じ寄りの段を平左衛門へ

[Right folio] One entry: In the fifth month of Kanbun 2 (Year of the Tiger), on the occasion of the Hōshōin's visit (*o-gekō*), he traveled to Edo to greet her, was granted a formal audience (*o-mie*), and received gracious words of warm regard. In the same month, he served in her escort party and returned home.   From the same personage, he was granted two *katabira* (unlined summer robes) and one *hitoe* (single-layered garment). One entry: In the eighth month of the same year, by most gracious command, he was appointed to the post of *kumigashira* (unit leader). One entry: In the eighth month of Kanbun 3 (Year of the Rabbit), he traveled to Edo for guard duty (*kinban*) and returned in the second month of the following year, the Year of the Dragon. [Left folio] One entry: In Kanbun 6 (Year of the Horse)—the month is unknown—when a quarrel broke out between unit samurai (*kumishi*) Aizawa Heizaemon and Iida Hachirobei, he conducted a thorough deliberation (*sengi*) of the matter in detail, submitted a written report to Obara Uneme, and presented it for inspection. As his examination of the matter was found to be clearly and thoroughly conducted, it was deemed that no further deliberation was necessary, and a most gracious pronouncement was made that his findings from the deliberation would be adopted as the ruling. One entry: In the ninth month of Kanbun 7 (Year of the Sheep), he traveled to Edo for guard duty and was stationed at the *Hama o-yashiki* (the Hama residence). During his time there, an act of arson (*tsuke-bi*) occurred in the long tenement building (*o-nagaya*). He was ordered to join Hitoyanagi Heizaemon in conducting a deliberation, and his own views and opinions were conveyed to Heizaemon—
