現代語訳
（前頁より続く）吟味所へお返しになった事。
一、同四年（明和四年・亥年）正月、御用所の書物御用を出精して勤めたことにより、骨折料として金二両を下し置かれた事。
一、同五年（明和五年・子年）十二月、吟味所の御雇を仰せ付けられ、年々骨折料として金二両ずつ下し置かれた事。
一、同六年（明和六年・丑年）十二月、親の願い通り御擬作を召し上げられたが、先祖に忠節の実績がある者であることにより、養子ではあるけれども御擬作を二十石二人扶持に減じた上で下し置かれ、召し出された。父子ともに勤功があることにより、吟味所小役人の欠員の跡へ仰せ付けられるべき事。
一、同七年（明和七年・寅年）八月、御人指をもって江戸勤番を仰せ付けられた事。
一、同月、御省略方任の日向兵左衛門の差図をも得て相勤めるよう仰せ付けられた。
但し、これにより江戸勤番はご免になった事。
一、同年九月、吾妻山の御用材ならびに御松（以下次頁へ続く）

One entry: In the first month of the same 4th year (Meiwa 4, Year of the Pig), having served diligently in the document duties of the Goyōsho (Administrative Office), he was granted two ryō in gold as a reward for his efforts.
One entry: In the twelfth month of the same 5th year (Meiwa 5, Year of the Rat), he was appointed as a hired official (o-yatoi) of the Ginmisho, and was granted two ryō in gold annually as a reward for his efforts.
One entry: In the twelfth month of the same 6th year (Meiwa 6, Year of the Ox), in accordance with his [adoptive] father's petition, his gizaku (stipend granted as a provisional measure) was revoked. However, given that his ancestors had a distinguished record of loyal service, and even though he was an adopted son, his gizaku was reduced and re-granted at twenty koku and provisions for two persons, and he was appointed to service. Given that both father and son had meritorious records of service, it was determined that he should be appointed to fill a vacancy among the junior officials (ko-yakunin) of the Ginmisho.
One entry: In the eighth month of the same 7th year (Meiwa 7, Year of the Tiger), he was appointed to Edo garrison duty (kinban) by means of the o-hitosashi (official selection/assignment process).
One entry: In the same month, he was ordered to also follow the directions of Hyūga Hizaemon, who was assigned to the o-shōryaku-kata (austerity/economy management division).
Note: As a result of this, he was excused from Edo garrison duty.
