十分にその海岸に接近することができないために、その望みを達することができなかった。ただその功績といえば、第十月十五日に十五艘あるいは二十艘の武装を施していない商船を略奪したのみであった。
「プロイセン」国の海軍は大きくはないけれども、船艦の製造は甚だ堅固である。その内のあるものは「フランス」国の軍艦数艘に匹敵すべきものがある。一千八百七十年第一月一日に記す船数は左の通りである。
